Warehouse Team Leader

Ampetronic is the world leader in the design and manufacture of audio induction loop systems, also known as hearing loop systems or T loops, systems that allow people with hearing loss to connect to the world around them. Our products are sold and distributed all over the world from our base in Newark and can be found in international airports, World Cup stadiums, globally recognized retail stores, fast food outlets and train and bus networks across the world. Our product and service solutions are all developed in-house, and sold worldwide by our passionate and driven team, delivering a life-changing benefit to those living with hearing loss.

The Role

This role would suit someone living in or around Newark, Nottinghamshire. You will report to the Warehouse Manager. Your specific responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Receipt and put away of goods in from suppliers
  • Visually inspecting incoming goods for supplier conformance
  • Report any supplier non-conformance to the Quality Manager and work to find a solution
  • Picking and packing of customer sales orders
  • Maintain a strong relationship with the sales support team, and ensure that they are aware of any warehouse constraints
  • Liaising with couriers on-site to ensure the right goods are collected by them
  • Organising and carrying out stock checks as required
  • Ensure that stock records are maintained and are accurate on Business Central.
  • Follow health and safety rules all times, and ensure that rules are followed by all warehouse employees
  • Responsible for ensuring the warehouse is kept tidy and free from rubbish. Reporting of any issues with the warehouse to the Business Support Administrator or the Finance Director.
  • Cover the warehouse manager role during annual leave, and sickness when applicable
  • Hours of work Monday to Thursday 8.00am – 4.45pm and Friday 8.00am – 12.30pm

The Person

  • Able to work under pressure at busy times
  • Outgoing
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good communication skills when liaising with couriers and other parts of the business
  • Strong understanding of relevant health and safety rules
  • Experience of using ERP systems
  • First Aid Certified
  • Fork Truck Certified

Essential Skills

  • Min 3 years warehouse experience, preferably as a team leader
  • Strong understanding of HSE rules
  • ERP system experience
  • Fork truck certified
  • First aid certified
